I’m having the same problem as found on here: link
There’s a link to https://192.168.0.120/wp_011_gadgets/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/52.jpg on my site that is causing the site to continue loading on and on. The site loads but the loading icon spins for a couple minutes on the browser. The URL I posted above indicated it has something to do with the theme and I can fix it through the theme panel somewhere. How do I fix this?
I know this is written in a confusing way but I’m confused as to what is causing this. 🙂
Hello,
I suggest you make a new clean install to another subdomain for testing via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, remove all of them and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
I’ve cleared caches and it doesn’t seem to be a plugin issue. I don’t really want to go through the hassle of installing on a subdomain. I activated different themes and they loaded lightning fast, so it’s specific to the Newspaper theme. I just need to remove that file but I can’t find where it is in the theme. It’s apparently some background image for the header. Thanks.
I fixed it! Here’s a link for anyone else having the same problem. https://imgur.com/a/pSfPr I was using the Widget style for the Newspaper theme. I just deleted the URL through the theme panel and the site loads fast now! Thank goodness. I’d been trying to figure out what was wrong for the past 3 months but finally saw this URL show up on a pingdom test as an error.
I had the same link to https://192.168.0.120/wp_011_gadgets/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/52.jpg only on the home page of my site but it wasn’t located in the “mobile menu/search” background section in the “theme panel” as suggested. I had to go into Pages > Homepage > Edit with TD Composer > Call to Action Element > Style to remove the background image within.
