Disqus is widely used by many websites that run on wordpress and I think Newspaper should be concerned with being compatible with this comment system. The previous version of the newspaper was compatible, so I know you can do that again, please take some of your time to do that.
In addition to the preview errors that I have already explained here and that remain unresolved, even if you synchronize the disqus comments with the wordpress database, the comments do not appear in the page source and so they are invisible to google.
For example I have close to 200 thousand comments that are invisible to search engines because Newspaper is incompatible with Disqus.
Unless newspaper becomes compatible with Disqus, this is a big SEO problem for those who use this theme.
Since my website is Disqus community, now I have purchased the theme which is of no work to me and my community. now I dont want this I want to cancel my purchase please help me with it
how to sync disqus comment to wordpress to make it seo freindly. hope you will me thanks
Hello,
I made a test with this plugin which is compatible with WordPress -> https://i.imgur.com/10a6pHm.png and for me works well -> https://i.imgur.com/HDGFPdL.png
Please make sure you have set the shortname and you have the infinite loading disabled.
Thank you!
Hello,
The plugin provided by the author Disqus they haven’t been updated since 9 months ago -> https://i.imgur.com/vTMRWQ1.png
Also, we have added some fixes to make this plugin work, but it is not 100% tested with the theme.
Also, you can add a column text/ text with title/raw HTML element to the page/post and then drop the Disqus Universal Code in the text section -> https://i.imgur.com/vVOaKfU.pn and there should be no more problems. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/disqus-not-working-with-cloud-library/
Thank you!
Hi Archerix, I’m currently using the Disqus comment with the latest Newspaper 11.4.2 and it’s working fine. Disqus doesn’t replace the default comment automatically, so, I used the universal Disqus code implementation method. At first, I got a preview error but I saved my settings and went on to preview the site if it worked. I don’t know if was luck but it displayed correctly on my site. I reloaded the Tagdiv composer page to see if the error disappears and yes, it did.
Also, you may have to manually import your WordPress comments for them to display on Disqus. Automatic import doesn’t seem to work. I hope this helps. As for the Disqus universal code, you can find it on the Disqus help page here – https://help.disqus.com/en/articles/1717112-universal-embed-code
