i would like to know how to open comments on posts.

Hello,
the comments should be enabled by default.
1. enable discussion http://screencast.com/t/fQKc3pefql
2. at the end of the page you will see the discussion box where you can enable / disable the comments.

We did it and it still doesnt let our users to add comments.
