Optimize image compression

Hi,
I use the “Regenerate Thumbnails” as you suggest in your guide, but the plugin does not optimize the size of the image.
This can be impact not only on the free space required on the server, but SERP.
What tool, plugin or script do you suggest to optimize the image?

Hello !

The regenerate option will not resize the images. You will have to do that manually or find a 3rd party plugin for it.

Thanks Vlad,
I confirm that the script does not resize image but it regenerate missing thumbnails.
These images are not optimized (I used https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/). Could you suggest me a plugin to optimize the weight of these images?
