while searching for a solution to this I already found out that there is an error with a search-results-template, but since I’ve been using template 6, now 7 I guess this isn’t part of the problem:
I wonder why my search results are not filtered by their dates – newest on top, oldest at the bottom.
if you do a search on finanzwelt.de for “blau direkt” (a companie’s name) you will see that there are fresher results (from 2015) close to the bottom while there are older ones (from 2014) before them. on top are indeed the newest results, but apart from that there is no proper order.
What can I do to get this right?

Hi,
The search results are generated by wordpress. We use the default wordpress search widget only styled differently. The results provided by wordpress are sorted by relevance, not in asc or desc order.
