Internal links contain nofollow attribute after the last update

Hey there,

I have been monitoring my site https://www.foreks-giris.com/ for a long time on Semrush. Today after the last update 11.5, I started getting some warning messages from Semrush that says 517 internal links contain nofollow attribute Screenshot: http://prntscr.com/IRjj7tccnseP

I checked my site and found the tags in the source codes. Most of them with td_block_inner class. Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/iWsiYkjR5z3l

I did not make any changes on the site in Newspaper settings.

Could you please check and help me to fix this?

Maybe there was something wrong with the update.

Thank you!

Hello!

Yes, we applied no follow on blocks because there were some duplicate links(image and title) and this is bad for SEO.

Thank you!

Ah I understand. So I can safely ignore these warnings (https://prnt.sc/IRjj7tccnseP) on Semrush?

Hello!

Yes. Although, we will clear that from the code and probably we will insert an option in the theme panel for that.

Thank you!

That would be great! Thanks a lot for the quick response!

Could we just remove the site links and screensots here and mark this ticket closed?

Hello!

Yes, of course.

Thank you!

Hello!

In the meantime, you can change the code from td_module.php and tdb_module.php.

Thank you!

Hello Bettina,

Why should I change it and how?

Post count: 21065

Hello!

Those files were modified with no follow. You can modify the code there or wait till the new update.

Thank you for understanding!

Hello!

No, it should apply automatically on every demo that you have used before and after too.

Thank you!

Hi Bettina, I removed “nofollow” attribute in td module.php but our category pages have nofollow. Could you help me?

You need to do changes also, in the td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_module.php

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,
Can you clarify the SEO issue for internal links when set to follow?
Thank you.

Post count: 27744

Hello @gono,

You can set follow in the files provided above.

Thank you!

Hi @Anamaria,
That was not the question. I’m trying to understand why it would be bad for SEO to have follow links. The reason why you set it to nofollow.
Also I don’t want to edit core files that get overwritten with updates. Do we get an option in a next update to choose if follow or nofollow?

Post count: 27744

Hello,

This option was requested, but we’ve searched and it looks like google will display this issue no matter what is set -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/we-desperately-need-a-way-to-no-follow-flex-blocks/
In the next update, there will be an option to enable or disable this option.

Thank you!

Thank you, an option is much appreciated!

Hi, is now possible to set follow for flex boxes in the theme panel?

Hello @BSpin,

If the option to be no-follow is disabled then the links will be follow.

Thank you!
