Search is a pain point for us at GO Hub, and a frequent source of CPU spikes. Subpar results aside, we’d love the option to debounce search box queries so it doesn’t query while typing and we’d love to replace the search with Relevanssi. Is this supported in any way, are there any plans to do this etc?

Newspaper theme only renders the wordpress search function. If you want something else this will involve custom work which is not covered by the support team unfortunately.
