Where do I put the adsense code Page-level ads in my theme?

Well we have not tested them to work on posts. Even the name says it pretty clear: ‘PAGE level’ ads, not post level ads. You will have to ask google if they work on posts as well. We cannot say for sure as we have not tested them. Sorry

Thanks for your answer. However, google hasn’t created this kind of ads exclusively for wordpress, that means that the meaning of their PAGE level ads it doesn’t actually refer to the “pages” or “posts” distinction we have in WordPress.
They basically consider page any url on internet. I will ask them anyway but any clue on where could I place them?

I understand this but this type of ads was not officially tested.
As the reference Catalin gave above with conditions to place them on pages, wordpress offers conditions to check if the “page” is a post:
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_single/
You can try to test without anything else. simply add the above code in the head section of the theme and then use the ad code in the theme panel ad spots. There are post ad spots as well – the article ads.

This issue is not related to the ads themselves. You have a conflict going on that removes any code you add. It is either a plugin conflict, or file permissions or a rule in your htaccess. Hi, I entered the code page_level ads (google adsense) before that of analitycs, I do not know if it is an impression but it seems that both analytics and page-level ads work …
or at least for sure those at the page level work

Please check adblock as I keep it active on Firefox as well. Could be worth a shot.
Please also note this is not an official implementation for the page level ads. They were never tested so we cannot assure their full compatibility with the theme. If this method fails, you will have to use an external ad plugin.
