Hi, as good as it is, pagespeed topics are always good to read.
Me, I respect do work going on here, but I do have something to add about pagespeed in general.
Chris and Ing Geek have some nice stuff here, I managed to get my demo newspaper content to 86/80 on GT Metrix, 61/80 on google insights, etc… and all that without Wp Super cache, or Wp rocket.
Included with those two caching plugins I managed to get above 94/90 on GTMETRIX, and 82/82 with google.
Somehow I managed to stumble on great plugin called WP Super Simple Speed.
This plugin alone, got me above 90s in GTM, and 72/86 (if i remember corectly) on Google insights.
When i included WP rocket… my website flew. I think it was something like 98/94 on gtmetrix, and above 90s in google.
But my images were not loading corectly bc of wp rockets js minify and stuff with css.
In general Expirience was awesome.
I tried to combine stuff, but i am not nearly done with testings (doing alot of combinations for 2 days) so I could use some help with this.
Thoughts?
O well, i finished testing, and for now everything works like a charm.
Result is 96 / 92 on GT metrix .. where i have 10 plugins active.
I know how to improve this, but maybe this is enough.
My pageload time is superb…
I am located in Europe, and page is opened in a second (give or take 500ms)
In across the continent pageload in NewYork its 1,5 seconds to 1.65sec
In California its 2sec
Melbourne Australia 6sec (same goes for Singapure)
…
I am not using CDN, and I’m just on regular apache server with cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC1) . (SSD hosting – very good shared hosting capable of taking around 10000 unique visitors per day – In October it will be upgraded to LiteSpeed).
So, anyone can beat 96 / 92 score on GT Metrix?
In the coming month I will be taking aditional measures of using multiple domain system for content, coockieless domains etc.
I have never done this but I find it easy.
Still I didn’t do any tweeks to Mysql,.. just using mix of Innodb and myIsam atm.
