Page title not showing correctly in search engine result

Hi, I’m using All-In-One-SEO Plugin for my page title but somehow it doesn’t show properly in the search engine result (although it shows correctly at the top of the internet browser). The search engine result as below:

https://www.google.com.sg/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=site:thebloggingtips.com&start=0

For example, if you go into the page: http://www.thebloggingtips.com/ipage/, you can see the re-write correct title at the top of your browser as “iPage Review: Server Uptime Records…”. However, in search engine result page, the title was “iPage – WordPress Themes”.

Please advise. Thanks.

Regards,
Chan

Hi

Usually the page title displayed by search engines is stored in a meta property: http://screencast.com/t/nr41L347qhttp://screencast.com/t/g216archhttp://screencast.com/t/ceEdcOSaa7 On our demo we use Yoast plugin to set this properties.
Also I’ve cheeked your site and noticed that the og:title is setup correct: http://screencast.com/t/J1AyaLNWi68J
I am not sure why that page appear with a wrong tile in google’s search result but this can also be a google’s issue. If you changed the page tile recently it will take a while until google will index your page again in order to update the new informations.

Thanks!

Also good to “view source” to SEE what actual meta data is on the page for the meta title, meta description and make sure the title on page is set as H1 and not H2. Google may scrape the title on page in favor of any meta data.
