Pagination does't show up

Hi,

I have Newspaper theme 1.4.1 and WordPress 3.8.1 and I won’t seem to be able to get the automatic pagination to show in blog posts. After adding the next page tag the tag itself works (it cuts the post where I want it), but there is no pagination anywhere in the blogpost showing so I can’t navigate from the page to the next or previous one.

What could be the problem? If this is a duplicate question, I’m really sorry, I’ve searched the forum for quite while before asking.

Hi,
I see in v1.5 there is a fix for the post pagination. Why you don’t update to latest version, we are on v 3.5 and you miss a lot of features.

If you want i can send you the patch from 1.4 to 1.5

Wow, I did not know, that my theme is so outdated. I will surely update. But what’s going to happen when I do? Which setting and widgets will be reset, which data do I have to input again?

hi,
please backup everything before you update (files and database).
most of the big changes are from version 2 to version 3.
if you upgrade from 1.4 to 1.x (x > 4) you should be ok.

Thanks, I’ve upgraded the WordPress as well and no problems at all. Only thing I had to do was to choose header menu again, but the menu itself was intact.
I wish our company CMS was this straight forward to manage.

Oh and the pagination works like a charm now.
