Permalink Custom Structure minus NEW

Hi, I am new to the Newsmag theme and have a basic question. I desire to have clean post and page urls without the “new” appearing in the string however the url custom structure root contains the “new” after the domain. The shortlink option also also defaults back to
http://www.sitename.com/new/sample-post/. Is there a way to do this easily? I would like http://www.sitename.com/sample-post/

Hi

I am not sure what you mean but if you want to change the permalinks structure, that can be done under Settings > Permalinks: http://screencast.com/t/JOBAbwzqS Alos you can check this link for more details in this regard: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

If this i not what you mean please provide nore details, also your site url so I can provide a more accurate answer.
