Picture name appears on the home page description

Hi there,

When you type my website name “emprunter malin” in google search, you will see that the description that shows up on the SERP includes the feature pitcures’name : Fotolia_122323603-537×360 Infos et guides pour emprunteur malin.

This description changes every day, as I upload new article on a daily basis (except week end).

I tried to name the feature pic differently like “appartement a paris”, but the dimension (537×360) still shows up, like : appartement a paris-537×360 Infos et guides pour emprunteur malin

I tried to deactivate recently installed plugin such AMP, but nothing happens.

How can I solve this problem ?

I can ensure you that I am using Yoast plugin fully for every page : title, desc and keyword.

I have also tried to disable newly installed plugin, but with no success.

And also, the name and dimensions of the pictures appear only for the home page, if you type “emprunter malin” in google serp.

This was not happenning before, it came up a few weeks ago.

Do you have any idea what could cause this ?

Google sometimes “scrapes” the text from the first element on page in lieu of meta data; and this happens sometimes when Google is re-indexing “everything” or specifically your site in the AMP vs desktop vs mobile SERPS shuffle o-rama.

Same things happens with Google News sometimes where they would grab the category bug above the headline and make that part of the title on Google News.

One thing you can do is add a text block to your website home page using an h1 tag which is short description of the site, typically same text you have in the meta tags, OG tags for your home page.

Double check your home page meta doing view source. Make sure your home page featured images all have proper description “alt” tags.
