I just changed to the Newsmag theme and none of my pictures are displaying. There are spaces where they are supposed to be. If i click on them then I can view the picture, but they do not display otherwise.

I solved the problem.
Go to your themeforest account and download the updated version of the theme.
Then go to your wordpress, deactivate the theme by choosing another one and delete the current newsmag. Your data and design wont be lost.
Install the new download from themeforest and activate it.
You will have to buy the new version of visual composer at $36 since its update is not covered in this new update of newsmag.
If that doesn’t help you, then contact theme creators.

@mmtairo there is no need to buy the premium version of Visual Composer. We didn’t included last plugin’s version in theme’s path yet as it is still in testing but V 4.11.2 which is available with the theme is tested and works fine. Also Visual Composer does not influence images’s behavior. When they don’t appear on the page it usually happens because of a js conflict between the theme and some untested plugins.
We strongly recommend not to buy Visual Composer separately as the plugin it’s included free in theme’s path and any version provided it is carefully tested to work fine.

Thank you @AndreL. That’s great. I had actually attempted to buy the visual composer premium and could not conclude because my payment had issues. I am glad it did not go through.
How then do I update it since it keeps reminding me that the plug in needs to be updated.
