Pictures on Homepage are big (0,5 MB etc.), is there something a forgot to setup? On homepage, there must be these pictures in very small format so the file size should be very small. But theme loads the original pictures (based on the sizes).
How to fix it?

This depends on the elements you use for images and if those use the image or a thumb of it.
