Pinterest buttons on post images overriding post share

We use Pinterest on all of our post images – we get a lot of interaction and shares with them but one thing I have noticed is that when the p.src = '//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js'; file loads on our page, it’s changing the pin button that comes with the theme (and looks great!) with the same Pinit button that gets used for our images.

Is there a way to get around this or is it something we’ll have to live with?

This is what the button looks like if I don’t include the pinit.js file in the footer…

And this is what the button looks like when the script is included and adds a pinit button to our images via jQuery…

Thanks, James

Hi,

Please provide a link so we can take a look and inspect this.

Thanks!

Hi Alin,

You can see this problem on http://www.weddingideastest.com/9-reception-decorations-perfect-for-summer-weddings/

The site is htaccess protected to prevent duplicate content issues as it’s a duplicate of our live site. You’ll need to use weddingideastest for both the username and password.

Thanks,

James

Hi,

I have checked your site and unfortunately the plugin affects theme’s html for share button. I have added this on our list and we will try to find a solution in a future update.

Thanks!
