Hi,

Is there an optimum size for uploading user avatars, I can’t seem to create a version that doesn’t end up almost illegible due to pixelation.

I didn’t know the theme yet supported custom upload of avatars for the authors? Hm. Must have missed that. I was looking for that the other day and didn’t see it. But then, I don’t use some things like Jetpack, so maybe it’s part of that.

If you’re using a plugin, or using Gravatars, you should check the docs for the plugin you’re using as it will usually have that info, such as 600×600 (this presumes retina support for image showing at 100×100 or 200×200, etc.), which is common. But Gravatar supposedly now supports up to 2048×2048.

The theme uses Gravatars by default, as do all WordPress themes, typically.
