You wrote me that 1/2 and 1/2 columns are not allowed, how come IMAGE BOXES allow 1/2 and 1/2 (see screenshot link below!) – please tell your developers to revise this thing. We cannot build normal designs with having 50/50 layouts. Yes we need them big time! I know you guys can make it!

Yes, there is also big grid 4 that allows 2 posts on 3 columns:
https://www.screencast.com/t/PuDsJfxr3 but that does not mean 1/2 + 1/2 is allowed or not. it simply means these elements have special implementation to show 2 posts on 3 columns. A 1/2 + 1/2 row layout is not possible in our theme for the moment.
