Is it possible to allow the modal Sign in/Join dialog to accept ‘plus addressing’ such as name+something@email.com (+something is the plus addressing part) when creating a new account?
Switching ‘Verify email on sign up’ to off does not have an effect on this. (Theme panel > Header > Sign in/Join)

If you are referring to the pop-up modal, then the only way to add extra fields is to edit the theme files, use a child theme ….
What can be tried is the new option for login/register that is added in tagDiv Composer by the plugin tagDiv Optin Builder.

I understand that, Calin – please consider this a feature request to make it RFC 5322 compliant. (Or at least allow ‘+’ and ‘.’ in the email address field because those are commonly used.)
