Hello abhisheikhs,

Please keep in mind that the Footer Style 1 is a default footer template which comes by default with these custom blocks. If you want to have more popular categories, you should customize is from the panel, Widgets section. In Footer 1,2,3 you can add any block you want and then it should be customized by any categories you want to be displayed. For more information about our Footer Templates, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin,
First of all, Thanks for your prompt reply.

Now, In Footer 1,2. I have added the required content, but i want to change content in the 3rd column that is popular category list, i want to add a new list instead of default one. Let’s say any 6 post category that are listed in the main navigation menu.

Here is the list:
POPULAR CATEGORIES
News
Astro
Gossips
Health
Lifestyle
Education

Hello abhisheikhs,

In 3rd column, you should use a block which can be sorted by only of these categories, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/29MMYniR
If is not what you mean, provide more details.

Thanks.

Hello,

Sorry but the popular category block is named that way because it will pull the most popular categories based on the number of posts they have set to them. It will not show your preferred categories though. You can limit the number of categories shown but you cannot select which one to show. Sorry but the element does not have the settings you are looking for.

Thank you!

Hi,

Please, how can i show some other category. because i can’t find anyway to add/replace the default category

let’s say if i m gonna create a new category “nations”, then how can append this new category to the category list shown in 3rd column.

Hello abhisheikhs,

Please keep in mind that here is talking about the type of sorting for this block. It is POPULAR and please notice that you cannot manually add what type of category you want because all of these will be automatically displayed based on how many posts each category has in descending order. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/6ZWzPQeLW1Oa

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

It’s been a week, since the website has been uploaded to server for this URL http://www.khabribabu.com/.

1st >> My point is, that i have created new categories and published new posts under their respected category.

As visitors are visiting my posts published under their respected category, so a maximum number of times a post visited should come accordingly, under the popular category of footer’s 3rd column.

2nd >> why the default category is still being listed under popular category, as the default post(demo data) are neither visited nor displayed anywhere in the website.

The default category should have been automatically replaced by the new ones, as per the popularity.

Hi,

1.
The popular category will not mind user views but rather show the category that has the most posts set to it. It will not count the post views, it will count the number of posts in that particular category. SO the views do not count for that element but rather the total number of posts in that particular category.
2.
Because it has the most posts set to it.

Thank you!

Okay,

Now, I Hope this is the exact solution, or can say logic behind the list produced in the footer’s 3rd column.

Thank you
