On the homepage we have a block filtering on the last 48 hours.

However this is not showing only posts of the last 48 hours and all other things were enabled so that it should work.
I have no clue what is causing this but seems a bug. How to solve this?

To sort the block for Popular (24h,48h and 7days you need to have added the element SINGLE POST VIEWS => https://i.imgur.com/pLWuoSS.png -> https://i.imgur.com/BbrBmL0.png, also, for Popular you need to have this option enable https://i.imgur.com/grI3bti.png
The sort option will be displayed that popular posts of the last 48 hours, those can be older posts.

And if you want to hide that but still want to show the most popular in the last 48 hours, how to do that?

Yes, you need to have the single post view inside the posts, you can hide it from the tab CSS, you need to hide it on each version -> https://i.imgur.com/RQYJHFW.jpg
the most popular should work after.
