Our IT disabled popular posts because the website was so slow when it was enabled.
The reason, as the IT said, is that the Theme is continuously counting the articles views (we have more than 300.000+) and makes the website slow.

Is there any solution to this?

Hi,
When the popular post is used this is checking all articles so if you have 300.000+ articles, the counter will check all of theme to see the one that is the most popular.

I can understand how it works. The problem is that the website is being so slow on this procedure.

Is there any solution to this? For example a scheduling?

One possible improvement would be to implement object caching on the database. This can help speed up the process and improve overall performance.
