Post Format

In the wordpress admin, when creating a post, there are Standard, Gallery, Video, Link, Quote… all as options for post “format”.

I want to use a link as the format, but there is nowhere in the post settings to put an actual URL… and I can’t tell what makes this post format differ from a standard post.

Can you tell me where to insert the actual link URL? And how to use these separate post formats? Nothing is in the documentation about it.

Hi,

I’m not sure what you mean, but when you change the post format from standard, like the name says(post format) it change the format of the content, you’ll see some stylistic differences between this post and your posts with the default Text format.
