For some reason my individual category sections or pages list the posts so the oldest posts are at the top, the newest at the bottom. If I go to a site and click a category, I’d like the latest articles first.. as I think everyone would. Not sure if this is a newspaper theme issue or if I somehow toggled something off. heh
Where would I modify this within this theme?
thx guys
Hi,
That is unusual, the default sorting on category pages already is predefined by latest. This default sorting for the category pages cannot be changed by a theme option. That means that in all situations, in the category pages the latest articles will be shown first. Unless the user chooses a different sorting in the pull-down filter

We could take a look if you could provide a link to a category page on your website.
Thanks
https://ourbellalife.com/category/youtube/ as an example
the newest posts are at the bottom of the page where as my understanding is they’re normally at the top
I have tried to access your website but it seems to be offline at the moment

Hi – it’s never offline, but I do use Wordfence to block countries we have had issues with. Possible you are in one of those countries? (what country are you in, I will remove it from the no accesss list)
I just checked and the same thing is happening with tags.
It’s as if orderby is specifically told top pull oldest articles first and place newest at bottom of page for some reason.

if you’d rather not list here what country you guys are in, so I am able to check wordfence to see if that is why you can’t see the site, can you use a VPN or email me (jd@ourbellalife.com) and I can remove the country block.
thank you – I am eager to get this fixed of course, as right now it’s strange that the entire theme, category and tags is showing things oldest first. Very strange.
OK,
