As per your instructions here, we can add post pagination. However, is there a shortcode/option that can be added to the post edit panel?:

Hello,

The mce editor in not part of our theme so you will need to edit WordPress to do it.
You can find online solutions on this such as: https://shellcreeper.com/how-to-add-next-page-or-page-break-button-in-wordpress-editor/
