Where can anyone advise me on the very simple if it does that.
Is it good to have ratings (stars) that the reader assess the quality of the article.
I uploaded stars I used this plugin and it works ok. (I use this plugin: Yasr – Yet Another Stars Rating ).
Is this good for SEO?

Not really great for SEO as it can be “gamed” — meaning why would a story with a higher rating be better in SEO if nothing can be validated that the ratings are true.
Might only be useful if you wanted to be able to “highlight” content in some way based on visitor rating and then make that more visible site-wide which might improve it’s ranking related to your own website, but not in relation to anybody else’s.
