Hi,
Unfortunately there is no option for displaying the categories on modules/blocks.
You can use and try this method to get the categories on modules: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/show-categorie-name-in-latest-articles/
Please note that if want categories on block 1: http://screencast.com/t/fUO8c748 you need to edit and modify module 2 and 3 files to get the categories like this: http://screencast.com/t/bwersazWF
