Post Settings Custom Fields?

Hello,

I’m automating the process of pulling content into my website. As part of that automation process, I’d like to automate some of the post settings fields as part of that process. I can set custom fields in my automation process, but I need to know the name(s) of the fields. These are the fields I’m interested in:

  • Post Template
  • Primary Category
  • Sidebar Position
  • Custom Sidebar
  • Source Name
  • Source URL
  • Via Name
  • Via URL

Hi,

These have to be selected manually for each post, I don’t know how you want to make all of these settings become automatic. This is where the fields you mention are defined in the theme, and where you can try to make these modifications

So, if I use custom fields to set, say “td_source_url” to “http://www.example.com” and “td_source” to “Example Site”, will those show up on the published post?

You can try it like that, or create and use your own custom fields that can be displayed in the post page
