Post Views all reset to '0' in dashboard and on database.

Hi Guys, all of a sudden the ‘Post Views’ in the dashboard have all gone to 0? these had been working correctly before and we’ve not updated WP or Theme so can’t see that this would have been the cause. They also don’t seem to be increasing as we view the site, what could be causing this?

The meta_value for post_views_count in the database is either 0 or 1 for all posts, some have previously had views into the thousands…

Hi,

The view count for each post is kept in the database, if the correct values are not displayed anymore that may mean there is a problem with the database. The values should increase after each post view. You could contact your hosting provider and maybe ask them to take a look for potential problems with it.
Consider making backups regularly to prevent unexpected events.
