Hi,
I noticed that the post views counter is not working anymore after updating to the latest version of the Newspaper theme.
I didn’t change anything on the theme, and everything was fine before updating. This issue and the fact the the smart sidebar is not working either are the two things I noticed until now.

Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN then check if you still have this issue. I have checked your site and you have some errors in the console – http://screencast.com/t/IKenDb7EZPo that may cause this, usually these errors are caused by plugins that conflict with the theme’s javascript.
Also please make sure you have updated the theme properly and also update the plugins that come with the theme files(VC, Social Counter..)

Hi,
I disabled the plugins one by one, purged the files from the CDN and cleared the cache. The theme started to record the views again when I deactivated the Akismet plugin. Maybe it’s just a coincidence.
Can you please check if I still have the same issues in the console and tell me if they are something to worry about?

I have checked your console again and you still have this error that could cause issues to the view counter – http://screencast.com/t/atFMmJzAT Please try to disable all the plugins except Visual Composer, clear cache and see if it counts when you refresh the post. If it works enable the plugins one by one and see which one cause this issue.
