Post Views Count Flactuation

Hello. I seem to be having problems with my post views counter.

This all started when i installed the caching plugin w3 total cache
Here it is

After i installed it my page views have somewhat been flactuating, sometimes they dont even move, then after a minute or more the pageviews are updated.

What could be the problem here? im using the newspaper theme, the W3 total cache plugin is used by my CDN and for cache purposes.

Hi,

The cache plugin could causes this so please make sure you empty cache and use the ajax post views count feature so that the view counter work with caching plugins. The system can be enabled via the panel, like this: http://screencast.com/t/lw2P10UE1

Hey,

I’m having the same problem, but i don’t have the ajax post views count feature in my theme panel. Is this a feature on a new version of the theme?

I have version 3.8

Hi,

Please make sure you have at least 4.2 theme version as we have added the ajax post views count feature from that version.

How can i update the theme? I purchased it a long time ago.

OK, i now have an option to update the theme using the envato tool kit.

Do i need to backup theme files? Theme settings and sidebars, etc. will be saved?

Hi,

We strongly advise that you make a backup before updating so you can revert back to it something goes wrong so make sure you do that and use this method to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ and upload the theme files via FTP and you will not lose any settings.
