POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=8.0 HT takes down server

Hi there!

Just started working on a site for a customer and “POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=8.0 HT” threads are complexly taking down the webserver. There dows not seem to be an upgrade path from version 8, but would you know of a fix that stops this process from raging out of control?

Hi,

Usually this issue is related to a firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request. Please verify the console for error while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module which blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.

Also the Newspaper v8 is an old version is very possible to not work properly with the last version of the WordPress.
