I am trying to set up a page that will include a list of posts defined by certain tag. I tried using VC to create a module with category and tag filter, but it didn’t result in a workable page. Can you advise a way to do that?
Such page should be a ‘home’ for all posts that include the specific tag, but unlike the tag page, I would like to use here page laid out similar to a home page, with an anchor text, gallery and tag-based post list.

The tag filter from blocks is the best option to build a page “defined by certain tag” as when you add the tag that you’ve used in the filter to a post the that post will be added to that page which contains the block that you’ve customized to show posts containing that tag.
Unfortunately you can’t link the posts that use a specific tag with a specific VC built page. The tags will always lead to the tag page which cannot be built via VC page builder.
You could create and use a category page for those posts and build the category page like you would want to do it for a tag. Unfortunately it case of the category page as for the tag page it can’t be built via VC but you have have more customization for the category page than for the tag page: http://screencast.com/t/e1HdWwfh2
