I have created a couple of pages for the ‘Characters’ but there seems to be a bug as I have set it up so it lists them alphabetically but they don’t seem to sort them you can see on this page (https://www.entirelyholby.co.uk/characters/holby-city/) under ‘Past Characters’ that there are some that are not in order towards the bottom of the page.

Please clear all cache, and make a test, set a new block with those posts, and sort theme alphabetically, see if the problem persist.
If the problem is still there please try to change the name of post update and see if the alphabetically sort is working.

try to change the name of post update and see if the alphabetically sort is working. — it’s working with all other but old posts only I mean problem persist with new posts only. New posts are always added at the end irrespective of the sorting method applied.

Quite an unusual issue, indeed the last posts are not sorted properly in that block. The block above it seems to sort alright. What if you try with a different type of block in a new test page? Set it in a similar way and check what happens.
I made a few tests in my case with the same block and alphabetical sorting, seems to work alright. If there is still a problem, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
