Been busy re-configuring my site after switching to NP6.1, and soon after discovered none of the content in my posts is displaying. Any idea what’s happening here?
1. Visual composer is set to pages only.
2. I can edit the posts through the All Posts admin section.
Here’s the homepage (just click on any article to see)
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN and see if you still have this issue. The html structure is incomplete, you have only header on the post page – http://screencast.com/t/R1nRt0GJH6V
Thanks!
Thanks Alin,
All plugins disabled, cache cleared, CDN purged. Still no change.
Thankfully this is in my sandbox. Any other ideas what could be causing it?
Sure you’re not making posts with VC ?
In looking at your page source for a sample post …
http://dev.lightersideofrealestate.com/real-estate-life/cool-stuff/tiny-house-bestie-row
this is your body class
<body class="single single-post postid-4745 single-format-standard wpb-js-composer js-comp-ver-4.5.3 vc_responsive td-boxed-layout" itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="http://schema.org/WebPage">
Yeah, according to VC, I have posts turned off. (screenshot)
It’s only wordpress “posts” that aren’t showing up from what I can tell — although when I edit them in wordpress… the post code is all there.
“Pages” (which I do build in VC) show up fine. (eg: http://dev.lightersideofrealestate.com/contribute)
Thanks much for the help Chris. When you say “stuff” what are you referring to? At the moment all plugins (other than VC) are shut off. Assuming you’re referring to VC then?
Hi lighterside,
I’ve checked your site and the posts Chris also mentioned: http://dev.lightersideofrealestate.com/real-estate-life/cool-stuff/tiny-house-bestie-row and found that pages html structure ends unexpected: http://screencast.com/t/KRNumYJIcOhW
Also check switching to the main theme as test if this still happens as I see you’re using the child theme: http://screencast.com/t/PAG6UxPwXDbv
If no errors appear and still can’t find the reason of this you should check your error.log file, there should be some useful information there related to this.
If you have access to your error.log file, please paste a copy here so we can take a look. You can find it via ftp or c-panel. If you don’t have access to it ask your host provider for a copy.
Thanks
Thanks Lucian,
When I switched to the normal theme, the posts populated. So something’s definitely incomplete with the child theme’s setup.
One thing I haven’t done yet is implement the API part of this new theme.
The instructions are a little too technical for me. But could this be the reason the child theme isn’t working right?
Here’s an image of the child’s functions.
(I’m about to install 6.2)
Thanks again for the help.
Whatever the problem, Fb is picking up your post.

I hear you Chris. And I’m reconsidering. I mean, the child theme works flawless on the main site (NP4), just something not configured the right way on NP6.
Lucien, now that we know the site works when I activate the main theme, does that help triangulate what could be incorrect in the child theme?
Hi,
Not sure, the code looks good. Please provide wp access via email so I can have a closer look at this, use contact@tagdiv.com and include a link to this tread.
Thanks
