I just bought Newsmag, but now any posts where I’ve tried to move the text so it’s centered on the page and not across it (like I did with Newspaper), it’s off center:

So now I can’t use those “format” arrows to center text?
Above link looks like Newspaper theme, not Newsmag theme (at least as of 5:30pm PST on 2/25).
Yeah I tried the Newsmag theme, did all the steps you outlined in your helpful post on migration. But between posts being off-center, the layout borders (which I’d like to remove), I went back to Newspaper.
There’s several things I like about the Newsmag layout, but it was turning into a bit of a battle to get everything set right, and switched back.
Heh. Yeah, I’m using Newsmag for one thing, Newspaper for another. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Newspaper obviously more mater, but Newsmag has underpinnings of their new “5.0” framework, so eventually I think both will come into “alignment” which will make life easier. Obviously they need to be different.
I think you can turn off the borders in NM 1.5, or the old fix was change color to white š
I think for a centered post, you’d have to use the “full width” layout, but don’t quote me on that one.
Compared to the ancient 2009 “arthemia” theme we’d been using for some of our sites, Newsmag is like living in the future.
What sites are you using them on? Curious to see other applications of it.
I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of money over the years chasing the “perfect” theme. Huge HUGE fan of the layout options. There are times when I don’t mind having the sidebar, but longer posts, like the fact I can dump it if I’d like to do so.
The one thing I liked about NewsMag right off the bat was how the front page blocks look. Not sure why there’s the centering issue with NewMag. Might have to try a dev site to tinker with it, rather than running it on my live site and work out bugs.
And I really really hate those layout borders.
Also a huge fan of their support – by far the best I’ve ever seen from a theme purchase.

Iāve also tested this, trying to recreate it but havenāt managed so please make sure that test this without any plugins active, leave just the Visual Composer active then empty caches and check again.

FLANW not fully completed, nor fully optimized (e.g., logos are from old theme, so not right size/shape). Need to sort out the feature image blocks on left side home page, as I was still playing with that.
I think ga-ga is running 1.3 and FLANW 1.4, and was waiting on NEW update – which pushed today (yay!).
