I used the demo content install button but no images are showing up and the navigation bar isn’t floating when I scroll up from the bottom of the page.

Please make sure to have the GD library installed and also make sure you have writing permissions on /wp-content/uploads
If you have done this and still the images are not showing please try to upload an image and see if you get any errors.
Please let us know if you still have any issues also please send an link to your site.
Regarding the floating feature for the menu you can add it from theme panel like this: http://screencast.com/t/kGBBOgZgTv
