Hello ,
I recently updated my Site Autogazette.de to the latest version of WP. Since then, there have been problems when creating widgets (I use the Classic Widget plug-in). Previously, when selecting the “Teaser Widget”, a field for title, subline, url and image selection appeared within the input mask. This has now disappeared.
Instead, the following is displayed: https://imgur.com/a/561BU5i
As shortcode:
[do_widget “Teaser Widget”]
or maybe with id [do_widget id=carbon_fields_teaser_widget-1043] – incorrect unless Classic Widgets is active
As shortcode:
[do_widget “Teaser Widget”]
Save the widget first!
I can’t do much with this, as I would like to have my old input mask back. At the moment I can not set a Widget!
I would be grateful for any tips on how to restore the old state.
Thanks, Frank
Hi Anamaria,
Thanks for your reply, but I think this is a problem with the widgets in the Newspaper Theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-and-widgets/’
There are exactly the widgets listed under the link mentioned above that no longer work as before. In this specific case, it is about the text widget.
Thank you, Frank
Hi Annamaria,
instead of the metabox for title, image and URL I get the following ads as in the links.
Regards, Frank
Hi,
The widgets tagdiv are from the theme and have a name like this https://i.imgur.com/0N3WXeF.png
Thank you!
Hi,
It doesn’t matter which plugin you use for widgets because the widgets coming from our theme are labeled with tagdiv https://i.imgur.com/116iwvB.png. If you want, you can do a test and leave only the tagdiv plugins active, with no other extra plugins activated, and check then. What is that element used for and what is it called? You translated it into English and it has a different name?
Thank you!
Hi Annamaria,
I use the widget to place teasers in the margin/marginal column. In the text widget I have metaboxes in which I can upload a title, an image and enter a URL for the article. Now this is not possible because I get the shortcode hint.
How can I activate only the TagdivTeaser? I wonder if the error has to do with the Gutenberg plugin or the Classic Widget plugin which i used.
But I’ll try to use only your tagdiv teasers if I know how to activate them.
Thank you very much, Frank
Hello,
The issue is not from the theme, I’m saying it once again, and in this case, we cannot help you. You need to downgrade WordPress-> https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/ and check if the issue persists. If the issue is resolved, then you need to contact the author of the plugin Teaser, not classic widgets, because they didn’t create compatibility with the latest version of WordPress.
Thank you!
