hello Alin,
Can you help me check my website pusatjualanonline.com the slider is not showing after update to version 5 ?
i did the update from inside the rev slider menu by clicking the manual update at the bottom. I have tried to replace the before files .css to the new place after update.
Kindly help.. Thanks.
Hi,
Did you solved this? I have checked your site and the revolution slider is displayed properly – http://screencast.com/t/pp50jxTt7
Please provide more details about your issue.
Thanks!
Hello Alin, yes i did solved an hour later after submit support. The problem is kind of weird though. I tried to deactivate all the plugins and then i activate one by one to find out which plugins might be the issue. But hey, nothing comes to trouble after all plugins are activated. Hahaha.. But one thing i want to know.. Did i do the right thing by doing manual update from inside the rev slider admin area?
Because after updating to the version 5, my existing sliders become the background images.
Could you consider to make a more brief tutorial of how to update the plugins or others?
From the plugin author, i read the update tutorial.. But it again makes me confused.. Especially the step of backup and restore the. Css inside the revslider folder.
Thanks Alin. Hope other could find this resolution useful.
Hi,
The updates are provided by us via the theme package, we try to deliver the latest versions with each update. The plugins are located in the ../Newspaper-tf/plugins folder – http://screencast.com/t/2Ri75hQV
In the case of Revolution Slider you have to
1. export your current sliders before you update
2. delete the current plugin and install the latest version
3. import the sliders saved on point one
For more details please check their official documentation – http://www.themepunch.com/faq/update-plugin-packaged-theme/
Revolution Slider and Visual Composer come with bulk license, this means that the plugins can only be distributed with the theme and only we can provide updates for them. You cannot update them directly from their developer.
Thank you!

Hi, Thank you for the guides. I have done as instructed above. but there is something still weird. I just faced the same issue today. the slider won’t show on the page. then i tried to uninstall and install the new update plugin then import the slider. yet it wont appear. then i bulk deactivated plugins. (not all in once) and i activated it all again. and no problem again. if i am not wrong.. these plugins are in possibility of the issue :
wp-supercache, jetpack, yoast seo. i am not sure which one. because after the last set of deactivation of the plugins till the slider become normal is those 3 plugins.. I will update again if this issue happen again in future. may be i will try to deactivate the plugins one by one.
Thanks again.
Hello there, I found the issue of plugin which incompatible with the revslider. it is the jetpack plugin. the thing is when the jetpack is activated the revslider will show just normal. but don’t let this trick you.. it will become error when you connect the jetpack to your wordpress account. i just activated the “publicize” and some others which is automatically activated when the plugin is installed.
Perhaps, it will be compatible in future.. because i need the “publicize” feature.
Thanks.
Hi,
I also checked this using the latest version of Jetpack and Rev Slider plugin provided with the theme and did not found any issues. You can also try to leave only Publicize from Jetpack active and see if you still have issues with the slider.
Unfortunately we cannot provide any solution regarding this issue, as it is a conflict between these plugins so you can try to open a ticket to jetpack or/and revolution slider support maybe they have a solution, sorry!
Thanks!
