We are not able to select the author while adding posts. It is unclickable. Also screen option on upper side is also unclickable. Are you upgrading the theme

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches than test again. Also make sure that you’re using last theme version available on themforest, V 2.3.6, and also update Visual Composer at v 4.11.2.
