Several posts and thumbnails on the categories pages have suddenly disappeared and left several blank spaces in the rows the should be.

Hi,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Plugins are the number one reason for this kind of issues.
If the problem is still there without plugins, please provide a link to your website so we can inspect the problem.

Ok. I found out what the problem was. It was not the plugins but somehow after the update the post number changed from an even number to odd and that caused the problem!
