Problem with Flex Block 1 rendering on iPad

My new homepage layout with Newspaper 8.7 is looking great! Very satisfied customer here.

Except…

My layout looks best using Flex Block 1 in several locations. It renders correctly on my iMac with Safari, Chrome or Firefox. And, it looks OK on my iPhone. But I also have an old iPad running IOS 9.3.5, and the post title, meta and excerpt are all rendered right over the image, making an unreadable mess. I don’t know if a newer iPad would have the problem. (Also, I haven’t tested any PC or Android devices.)

Please visit testnews.postflaviana.org to see my layout. Or, postflaviana.org to see the inferior version using block 1 in place of the flex blocks.

Found that Block 22 is a much better substitute for Flex Block 1 in my layout, rather than Block 1. So, this is a low priority bug as far as I’m concerned. Thanks for reading, and put it in your queue if you please. 🙂

We will investigate the issue you mention, we cannot recreate this however or has it happened in our tests. Note that the new flex block can be styled as you want, it could be a setting in the design you created with it that causes the issue. There are many instances where the flex block can be used, just be careful with the design you create, for each device

I also had that problem on an old ipad. I now use Flex Block 5 on my start page instead of Flex Block 1. Flex Block 1 causes a mess like jerryr56 described, Flex Block 5 works and can be layouted very similar.
