Hi,
I am using the “mega menu from pages” option for some of my menu items (e.g. “Hindernisläufe”) and it works great on the homepage. But when being on a post or page and hovering over this specific menu item with the “mega menue from pages” setting, the content or elements of the post / page are loaded into the mega menue.

Yes, I am definetely aware that you only support a specific number of plugins and that the above described effect may (!) have something to do with plugins that are not on your list.
I am using Shariff for the Social media Buttons (because we have special privacy restrictions in Germany regarding those buttons and your implemented social media buttons are unfortunately not allowed to be used in Germany).
And for the Review I am using WP Product Review Lite because your implemented review functionality does not offer the option to put the Box above the content and have special fields like Affiliate Links, etc.
I fully understand that you can not support 3rd party plugins, and I don’t expect you to. But I am kindly asking you to take a look into this Newspaper related bug. It seems not to be a “not supported plugin bug”, but a general one.
I can not use the included “mega menue from page” option because of unpredictable site effects that haven’t something to do with a 3rd party plugin but with your theme’s mega menue itself. Btw: it doesn’t matter which post template I am using – the described mega menue bug occurs everytime.
Please don’t get me wrong – your theme is great and the functionality and scalability is really amazing. But from my understanding there should be a general guarantee that the site or design does not break due to plugins that have nothing to do with the theme’s functionality.
I would really appreciate when you could check the described bug and won’t answer this post with the generic “we only support the following plugins…”.
Many thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Dinah
Hi,
The page menu does what it says, displays a page in the menu
-https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-menu/
That is a page created by you, with the content and elements that you place in it. It’s content should not change unless manually editing and modifying the respective page, or as it is most likely happening in this case, the plugins are inserting their content in it. Not by viewing the page menu in the category page or post page etc.
In the homepage I see the page menu contains single images and a list menu
– https://www.screencast.com/t/L2vP2OJZ5X
In a post page it should be the same page content displayed in the page menu. But I see that the plugin is inserting it’s content besides the actual elements
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bLzV3Bq70Qk
In the other post page there seems to be even more content present in the page menu, meaning those reviews, the single images and list menu, and the social plugin content

This should not happen, and does not happen by default. Once a page is created, saved and used in a page menu, the content of that page does not change automatically. It is a static page.
I have created a page with similar content and a page menu. This is how it looks on the homepage

And on the post page

There is no difference where the page menu is viewed, it is still the same page as I created it. Maybe you can configure those plugins to not display on that particular page used in the menu, exclude it somehow. So the page will remain the same regardless of where the menu is viewed. That might work if the plugins have options like that, then you can check if the issue is still happening.
Thanks
