I have problem with modal images – after clicking them on page an error is displayed on the lightbox. I’m using Newspaper 8 and current version of wordpress. Problem remains regardless of enabled plugins, occurs when using various post templates. See screenshot: 
Galleries work fine.
Please advise how can I solve this, modal lightbox images are important for us.

Hello,
This happens when the modal image is not linking to the image file itself but rather an external link. The theme lighbox will not work with external links: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-window/
