Hello,
I have a problem. I created a media site and my client wants to define the articles according to two different classification modes: the category (economy, social, politics…) and the format (Academic, Brief, Point of view).
So I created custom post types for different article formats with the CPT UI plugin. Except that in the editor, at the bottom, I don’t have the “post settings” to set which template is used to display these articles. The “post settings” are only displayed in my Post Type which is called “Posts”. How can I choose which template applies to Academic and Brief?
Also, how can I display this information in the thumbnails on my home page? I am displaying the categories of my posts but the client would also like to display if the post is a Point of View, Academic or Brief.
In the theme panel, I can’t find the place to decide to apply a template to my CPTs either. Help me please !
And this is my website : https://www.rse-responsables.com/accueil-2/

Hello @fabienpomies !
You cannot have post settings for a CPT. The only way you can assign a template to your CPT is to build it with the help of a blank template or install an already-made cloud template.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have an issue setting up this CPT template. I created the custom post type with the taxonomy. I have also created the corresponding template for both, but the archive page is not showing any of the posts and the single page is not using the saved template
Hello @ICTDESK!
In order to avoid misunderstandings, please provide more information(screenshots/video) about what exactly you need to achieve or what is the issue there and your website link.
A solution for sending a screenshot/video is this:
Download, capture, and send: https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html
After making the screenshot, you will have a link; paste it here.
Thank you!
