Dear Newspaper Support Team,
It seems I am experiencing a problem with the Sharing Buttons displayed on articles. Indeed, our social networks are set for Facebook, Twitter, Google + and INSTAGRAM and we have sharing buttons on articles for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and PINTEREST. How can I make sure that the sharing buttons on the articles are aligned with our social networks?
Also, all sharing buttons open a pop-up window for sharing, which is great, except for Twitter which opens in the same window and thus makes people leave the site đ How can I do so that Twitter opens in a pop-up as well?
Many thanks in advance for your answers !
Hello,
Sorry but I do not understand how you want to align the sharing buttons. They do not appear miss-aligned on your site. Please provide more details to what you are referring to.
As for the twitter link, This should also display in a new tab as you can see here: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/
Yours seems to be affected by an external source so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Bogdan,
I normally would not hijack a thread but I found myself having the same issue and didn’t want to duplicate a post. I do not think this person is referring to design alignment. I think they mean to say that when you add a link to a social media option in the theme panel that the corresponding social media sharing button should automatically appear in the post sharing option.
It sounds like they are moreover in need of an instagram sharing button (for mobile) that simply creates a post in the app automatically. I was wondering if this was in the roadmap or if you could provide me a hook to easily do this because instagram has become increasingly more popular for sharing. It would help your theme out immensely.

hello,
The sharing options in the theme panel adds a share button in the top menu and in the footer sharing options.
The post sharing options are “fixed” and cannot be changed from the theme panel.
If you need to add another network to the post sharing options or to remove on, please use this topic for a solution:
