I noticed that since i upgraded to WordPress 4.3 i can’t use any shortcut anymore. For example cmd+F is not working.
Another thing that is also not working is the “Insert link” tool. When I try to insert a link on a word/phrase, it pops up the windows where i paste the link but when i click OK it just doesn’t work.
Since i haven’t found anyone with the same issue on the Internet, is it possible that it’s related to some sort of compatibility problem with the Newspaper Theme or the recommended plugins?

You can test this with another theme. Try a WordPress default theme like twenty fifteen and see if the problem is still there. Also check any plugins you have active. Disable all of them except visual composer and test again.
