Dear sirs, I am moving my website from old theme to your theme Newspaper 9. I have a problem. Your theme automatically put a featured image at the top of every post. The old theme didn’t have this feature. And now the same picture repeat twice in each post. Please, have a look – http://dev.wilhard.ru/misc/kak-otkryt-internet-magazin/. I do not want it, it doesn’t look good. How can I cancel this feature? I want to insert every single image manually into my blog posts. How can I cancel auto insertion of a featured image into a post?
Go to THEME PANEL > POST SETTINGS and there you can change your default post template or hide featured image. I suggest to changing template, and you also can do it manually per post when you have posts which you want to show a different way than your default template is.

1) Where can I setup a picture for a FEATURED IMAGE PLACEHOLDER?
2) What is FEATURED IMAGE LIGHTBOX? I don’t understand. Can you show a picture of it?

Unfortunately the theme do not have any option in order to change the feature image of placeholder, so if you want to do that you need to do it manually, you need to go in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/no-thumb and replace the images but do not forget to set the same name and size
