Hi guys, i am facing issue with visual composer plugin, it keeps craches the entire website!! after the update i have followed all of your available steps to install the update and also the plugin. website now is updated with all other plugins siwthced on and its working fine. but when i tried to activate “new” Visual Composer it will goes to white screen – internal server error.
All plugins siwtched off but visual composer on – internal server error.
No plugins on – working fine
All other plugins except of Visual composer on – working fine
Visual composer on – internal server error..
the issue coming from the visual composer thats for sure! Please help..
We laso run – rename the shortcodes from versions older than 1.5 you can run this SQL it has completed succesfully but issue is still there http://www.electropiknik.cz
ok guys got it, i have used previous version of composer the one whi came with the previous update and it works fine however it would be fine to have visual composer updated as well. can you please investigate this issue with the news visual composeR? thank you!

I reverted to an earlyer version of this plugin also. Used 40-50 mb more ram. My site runs normally on 45 mb. I had to change it to at least 80 meg to run normally (with additional errors). Unacceptable for one plugin. Have to do some further testing.
I also have this problem! The new visual composer plugin uses too much memory.

Sorry for the delay!
This happens due to the Visual Composer plugin with the improvements added in the latest version of the plugin, the same version that was provided with the theme.
You can increase the memory from 64 which is the default for WordPress to how much you need or use the previous version of the plugin and if you don’t have you can make a request for ti via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will send it to you.

I am reluctant to update the theme now. Why does the Visual Composer use so much more memory? The whole changing of VC element names or running an SQL command isn’t something I want to do, because if it goes south, I don’t want to be left with a non-working web :-/
i have sticked with the previous version of the plugin and it works great .. no need to update i guess.. hopefully there is not security risk to stay with the previous version of Visual Composer..hoever it would be nice of this get sorted in next update…
currently it works great and news update is alri… except of the composer.. i guess the best way is to back up the current version of the theme, rewrite files overr the ftp and then remove visual composer which comes with the update and replace it with the previos one.. 🙂
That’s one way of doing it, however I would prefer everything to run as it should. We shouldn’t have to go back to v1.4 if the newest is 1.5 and the creators of the theme say it should work. I’ll wait for someone from tagDiv to get back to us on this one.

A full backup (database and files) should be made before each update – http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups , in case something goes wrong you can return to the previous state.

You don’t have to use the SQL code, you can update those shortcodes manually, just edit the page on which they are use and modify them.

Something is wrong with the new version of the Visual Composer plugin. My site runs normally on 35-40 mb ram. With the new version it was 135-150 mb. I have uploaded the plugin version from Newsmag 1.4. Now I have again 35-40 mb memory and the site is fast again (with Newsmag 1.5)…
