Problems with Big Grid Flex 6

Hello,

I am having a two problems with Big Grid Flex 6 that I can’t seem to solve.

Problem 1:
The majority of the images on my site are 1200 x 800px and a few are not, but when an image that is 1200 x 800px is in the middle (module category 2 of Big Grid flex 6), the grid becomes uneven to the other 4 images and part of the black background shows at the of the middle images, but when another size image is in the middle all the images are leveled (dropbox example images linked below). As I stated before the majority of the images on my site are 1200 x 800px so how do I fix this problem without having the change the size of all of them?

Problem 2:
On mobile, the background of the Big Grid Flex 6 doesn’t stretch the full width of the screen, how do I fix this so that it does? I also tried making the row itself background black, but the padding of the row also becomes black so I don’t think that is the correct solution. (dropbox example images linked below)

Hi,

1. What You can do is to regenerate the thumbs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ and see if there are some difference or not, if the problem persists, please provide me a link where I can inspect this problem.

2. As I can see the mobile version is displaying correctly, this part from here https://i.imgur.com/q3XMLui.png is look like this because you can slide the posts.

Thank you!

For the first problem, the plugin didn’t fix the problem.

for problem two, I don’t know if you miss understood me or not, but on mobile, the black background is clearly not stretching the full width. How do I make it so that it does?

here is the site: Techedged.com

Hello !

For problem 1 you can set the image size from tagDiv Composer as you can see here and no matter what the image size will be you will be able to adjust it from there if needed: https://www.screencast.com/t/4YMCUJ5EFlbG

For the second problem you will have to insert the block in an empty ROW and edit the ROW background as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/RB0YvBla

Thank you !

Hello,

for problem 1, the image width that you are pointing to is 50% by default already. I decided to delete the original big grid flex 6 and row. Then added a new row and big grid flex 6 to make sure I didn’t change any of the default settings by accident. Next, all I did was made the image height 60% for both module categories 1 and 2. The results are the problem of the extra unwanted black spacing under the middle image is still there when the image is 1200 x 800. Is this something that needs to be fixed in the next theme update? or am I still doing something wrong?

for problem 2, if the background for the row is made black instead of the element as you are suggesting, there is then the default black padding of the row itself as seen in this image row background black.PNG on dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ozmmkhywweoiqz5/AADG_LWlcC0zrEbrUOLVGF31a?dl=0). I tried to make the padding 0 in the CSS of the row, but that had no effect. So how do I fix this problem as well?

Hi,

I believe you are referring to this space https://prnt.sc/ua1uas There is a 10px margin there for the modules one the sides, modules 1.
You could work with pixel values and take into account that margin, for example https://prnt.sc/ua1wyrhttps://prnt.sc/ua1x9j That should work fine.

Regarding the row marginm what you try to do is to set a negative margin bottom for the grid (-48) https://prnt.sc/ua249n and a margin bottom for the row https://prnt.sc/ua24ks (48) For mobile set the grid margin to 0. That should work. Let me know.

Thank you!

Though I did have to add an extra 10px to the middle image, however, your solution fixed both problems. Thank you very much!
